The Archaeological Museum of Lefkada operates since 1999 and is housed in the building of the cultural center of the city. Its four rooms include findings from the Paleolithic Age through Roman times. In the first room there are finds from the private and public life of the inhabitants of the island. The exhibition consists of four modules: the home, the preparation and consumption of basic food in ancient Greece, minting and fishing.There are exhibited also findings related to the textile, from homes of the Classical and the Hellenistic period, and to the music as the cluster of Nymphs of the 6th century BC.

In the second room, there are findings from the Geometric period as double axes, and from the Classical period, such as the miniature bronze crest of the 6th century BC. In the third hall there are exhibitions concerning the burial customs of the island such as urns, sepulchral columns and findings from the two cemeteries on the island. In the fourth hall, there are Paleolithic tools, splinters of vessels, jewels of the Bronze Age and more.
